The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is considering taking the exam of the main subjects i.e. major subjects in the 12th class amid the second wave of corona epidemic. Only the 3 main subjects of Science, Commerce and Arts in 12th are being considered for examination. In other subjects, a marking formula can also be formed based on the numbers found on the main subjects.

It has also been said that students who are unable to give exams due to corona, should get another chance. The exam of 12 and entrance test of professional education is likely to be decided at a high-level meeting of ministers and officials with states and union territories on Sunday, chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. The meeting will also include Union Ministers Smriti Irani and Prakash Javadekar. The government postponed the 12th board exam due to the second wave of Corona.

CBSE has 2 options regarding exam

  1. First: Only Major Subject exams can be conducted at the prescribed centers. Numbers can also be given in the minor subject by making the numbers of these exams the basis. Under this option, 1 month will be required for pre-exam, 2 months for exam and result declaration and 45 days for compartment exam. This means that this option can be adopted only when the CBSE board has a window of 3 months.
  2. Second: In the second option, it is suggested to set a time of one and a half hours (90 minutes) for the examination of all the subjects. With this, it is advisable to ask only objective or short questions in the paper. In this way, the exam can be done in 45 days only. It said that the examination of Major Subjects of Class 12 children should be taken in their own school. Also, the number of examination centers should be doubled.

3 and a language paper of the elective subject
It has been said in the suggestions that in the 12th class exam, one paper related to language and 3 papers of elective subject should be kept. The numbers of the 5th and 6th subjects should be given on the basis of the number found in the elective subject. If the board chooses the second option, then the exam can be conducted in 2 phases.

A chance if you do not take the exam when you are corona
In places where the corona epidemic is not much worse, examination should be done in the first phase. In the remaining areas, get the exam done in the second phase. There should be a 14-day gap between the two phases. If a student is not able to take the exam due to corona infection, then he should get one more chance.

Madhya Pradesh suggested exam in June
Due to the increasing corona infection in Madhya Pradesh, the proposal to conduct 10th and 12th board exam in June has been sent. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan is yet to be stamped on this. The 10th exam was scheduled to start on 30th April and 12th examinations from 1st of May. At the same time, the Rajasthan government will take a decision on the 10th and 12th exam after the lockdown in the state.
