The condition of two lionesses found positive in Etawah Lion Safari is not improving.

In the Lion Safari of Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, the condition of two lionesses, Gauri and Jennifer, infected with Corona, is not improving. Both have given up food since Corona became infected. Both are now being given food and treatment through drip.

Safari director Krishna Kumar Singh said that the treatment is being done with the help of online, video calling from specialist doctors of many institutions of UP including Gujarat, Hyderabad, Delhi, Dehradun. But, there is no relief yet. Their health is continuously deteriorating due to not eating food.

Safari administration conducted corona investigation of 18 lions
Both lionesses are being given soup and glucose. Both have not taken solid food for a long time. The two lionesses of the safari gave up drinking on April 30. After this, the Safari administration had conducted a Kovid investigation of 18 lion-lionesses. The reports of Gauri and Jennifer were positive in this. The rest of the reports were negative.

16 lions in safari found healthy during investigation
The other 16 lion lionesses on the safari are perfectly healthy. Along with these, there have been no complaints of covid infection in other safari reindeer, bear, leopard. A major challenge before the Safari administration is to take care of both lionesses as well as protect other animals from infection. Special arrangements have been made by the Safari administration for this.
