The temple of Baba Kedarnath was decorated with 11 quintal flowers. Not more than 25 people will get entry for the pooja recitation.
The doors of Lord Kedarnath Dham will open tomorrow at 5 am. However, due to the corona, devotees will not be able to see God this time like last year. Devotees will be able to see only online. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has appealed to the devotees to offer prayers only by staying in their home. Panchmukhi Doli of Kedarnath Bhagwan has arrived on Saturday evening only.
At the same time, the doors of Yamunotri Dham have opened on May 14 and the banks of Gangotri Dham on May 15. In the Char Dham, the doors of Badrinath Dham will open at 4.15 am on May 18. In all these dhams, devotees are not allowed to come due to corona.
Chardham Yatra stopped due to Corona
The Chardham Yatra has been temporarily postponed due to the Corona epidemic. However, puja-archana will continue from Nityaniyam. In all the dhams people associated with the puja recitation will be allowed inside. Their number also should not be more than 25. Also the Corona Guideline will also be followed.
The media in-charge of the Devasthanam Board, Dr. Harish Gaur, said that the Devasthanam Board in Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham has completed preparations for opening of the doors. Sanitization, sanitation, supply of electricity and water, accommodation for Rawal, priests, Vedpathis have also been arranged. Wearing masks, social distancing, thermal screening are mandatory. BD Singh, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Devasthanam Board, is keeping a close watch on the arrangements in Kedarnath Dham.
Due to Corona, only 25 people associated with the worship of the temple will get entry.
Chardham means Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri
Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are located in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand. Here they are called Chardham. The doors of Chardham are opened every year in April-May after 6 months of winter vacation. Last year too, devotees did not get entry here due to Corona. This time too, the Chief Minister had announced to close the entry of devotees on 29 April itself. He had said that the doors of the dhams will open at their appointed time but only the pilgrim priests will perform regular puja there.
The first worship in Char Dham is being done by the Prime Minister
Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that the first puja of the four dhams for public welfare is being done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. These pujas are performed by the Devasthanam Board and the temple committees.
On Sunday, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, Rawal Ishwari Prasad Namboodri from Narsingh Temple reached Yogadhyan Badri Temple Pandukeshwar. On Monday evening, along with Uddhav ji and Kubera ji, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharya will reach Badrinath Dham.
