The Trinamool and the Left say that the BJP is pulling people into its court with a coupon of one thousand. Both parties said that this amount has been given to attend Modi’s rally in Jionagar on April 1. Along with this, these coupons have been distributed to vote in favor of BJP.

Villagers were quoted in the Telegraph India report as saying that the coupons were distributed to attend Modi’s rally. It was promised that a gift would definitely be given to the villagers through coupons.

According to reports, coupons were seen in the hands of BJP supporters at Raidighi in South 24 Parganas. There is a mention of one thousand rupees in it and there is a photo of Modi. The BJP said that it is not a coupon, but a receipt of the donation which the supporters have given. Party trapped by BJP candidate’s statements
BJP candidate from Rayadighi, Shantanu Bapuli made different statements. First he said that this is not a coupon from which cash can be obtained. Later he said that through this, the transportation of those who came to Modi’s rally was paid. For example, if a transporter’s bill was made of 2 thousand, he took cash after showing two coupons after the rally. That is, the coupon could be cashed.

Left leader’s tour revealed
When CPM candidate Kanti Ganguly went to Raidighi, she was shown these coupons by party workers. He told that Trinamool workers have got similar coupons. This coupon mentions Modi and one thousand rupees, but words like Chanda or Donation are not written anywhere. These have been printed by the Mathurapur Organizing District Committee of the BJP.
