Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called the Chief Ministers of 4 states for the meeting. Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Puducherry attended it.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of the states on Sunday, amid growing Corona cases. During this time he came to know the situation in Corona. However, this time the Prime Minister called the Chief Ministers of 4 states in the meeting instead of all the states. Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and Puducherry attended it. In fact, out of these four states, the active cases of three states constitute 74.69% of the total cases in the country. The most active cases are in Rajasthan (2,08,698), Uttar Pradesh (1,77,643) and Chhattisgarh (1,10,401).
The meeting inquired from the states about the condition of Corona. Vaccination was also discussed. Earlier on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting. In this, he instructed to go to village and test the corona. ASHA workers were also asked to be involved in this task.
Home Minister emphasizes on increasing power backup in hospital
Here, Home Minister Amit Shah called an important meeting on the Tau Te cyclone. It reviewed the preparations for relief and rescue operations. Apart from the Chief Ministers of Maharashtra and Gujarat, officials from Daman & Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli also attended this virtual meeting. During this time, the Home Minister instructed the states to remain alert and put more emphasis on maintaining power backups in hospitals and taking care of corona patients. Apart from this, a control room has also been set up in the Home Ministry regarding the cyclone. Which is constantly monitoring the situation.
The storm hit the coastal region of Goa
According to the Meteorological Department, the storm has hit the coastal region of Goa. Now he is moving fast towards Gujarat. Due to this, some places in North Konkan including Mumbai may receive heavy rain with strong winds since Sunday. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) had to shift 580 patients from Kovid Care Center to safer places due to the alert. According to the information, 243 patients were evacuated from BKC, 183 from Dahisar and 154 from Mulund.
Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh get the most infected in 24 hours
According to the Union Health Ministry, the maximum number of new cases have been reported in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan in the last 24 hours. These two states account for 74.7% of the total new cases. Rajasthan has 13,575 cases while Uttar Pradesh has 12,513 cases. At the same time, the highest number of deaths occurred in these two states in the last 24 hours. There were 281 deaths in Uttar Pradesh and 149 in Rajasthan. More than 3 lakh cases were reported in India in the last 24 hours. Also close to 3.62 people have recovered.
