After Raipur and Durg in Chhattisgarh, now 9 days total lockdown has been imposed in Bemetra, Rajnandgaon and Balod districts. In view of the deteriorating situation from Corona, the Collector decided to lockdown from 6 pm to 19 April 10. At the same time, the opening time of shops in Korba district has been reduced. According to the new order, shops will be open from 6 am to 3 pm only. Raipur Collector has changed the terms of the lockdown. Now no more than 10 people will be allowed in marriages and funerals. Earlier 50 people were allowed to attend such events. The marriage has been asked to be done in the house of the bride or groom. That is, it will not be allowed to organize from the marriage hall or hotel-Dharamshala.

In Chhattisgarh, a record 10,310 new cases of corona have been found in the last 24 hours. 53 people have died. 24 of these people had other diseases besides corona, so the administration is considering corona as the cause of 29 deaths. On Wednesday, 42,289 covid tests were performed. After the arrival of new patients, the number of active patients in Chhattisgarh has increased to 58,883. On the other hand, black marketing of essential goods has started even before the lockdown in Raipur.

Shopkeepers of 9 teams keep watch, action will be taken if rates are higher
Due to the increasing pace of infection, Durg district has a lockdown from 6 to 14 April. There will also be a total lockdown in Raipur for 10 days from 6 pm on Friday. Already, shopkeepers have suddenly raised prices of essential goods. Raipur Collector Dr. S. Bharatidasan has formed 9 teams of black marketing officials. The officials involved have been asked to keep an eye on the markets and shops. If the price of goods is found in any shop, then the team will take action against the shopkeepers. Collector said that the team will investigate and take action till Friday evening.

Corona update

  • The Raipur Collector has tried to clear the confusion of the imperative of e-passes for passengers traveling by rail and airplanes in the city. It has been clarified in the new guideline that such people will not need e-pass. Only his ticket will be considered a pass.
  • Some areas have been declared as Containment Zones before the proposed lockdown in Raipur district. The new zone includes Changorabhatha of Raipur city, Metro Greens Society, Heritage Apartments, Ward 28 and 33 in Birgaon and Parsada, a village in Abhanpur. The administration has banned the movement of residents by barricading these areas.
  • If required during lockdown in Raipur, e-pass will be required to go out of other districts or states. For this, a link will be released on the website of the district administration today. Applications can be made through this.
  • Raipur district administration has started isolation centers for corona patients in five government buildings. The 1800-bed facility has been built after the acquisition of Ayush University, Institute of Hotel Management, Working Women Hostel and Attempt Boys Hostel.
  • The administration has introduced strictness on employees not on corona duty. Show cause notices have been issued to 54 teachers. Of these, 38 are women. The answer is sought in these three days.

Active cases exceeded 58 thousand in 4 months, the highest in the fort
The rate of active patients has now crossed 15 percent in the state. The first wave of Corona was at peak in September 2020, when the number of active patients was 36 thousand. At present, the number of active patients in the state is more than 58 thousand. This is the highest figure ever. Earlier this year, there were 11 thousand active patients in the state. 3302 patients found in the capital, 27 died
In the last 24 hours, 3,302 new infections have been detected in Raipur. 27 people died. So far, 1028 have died in the city. There are 14,991 active patients in Raipur city alone. The lockdown was announced by the district administration on Wednesday afternoon, followed by a crowd in the city’s Malaviya Road, Gol Bazar area. There were jammed situations at every intersection.

More corona cases in these cities
After getting 1664 new patients in Durg city, the number of active patients has increased to 15,297. On Wednesday, 6 people died here. 873 new corona infected have been found in Rajnandgaon, 1 person died. There are 5,423 corona active patients in Rajnandgaon. The number of active patients in this city has increased to 2,786 after 600 new infections were found in Bilaspur city. As of Wednesday, 7 people died here. In Raigad, 153 new infected were found, 2 people lost their lives. 68 new corona infected were found in Bastar. In Bastar division, the highest number of 139 patients came from Kanker.
