The National Investigation Agency (NIA) investigating the Antilia case and Mansukh Hiren’s murder summoned former ACP and encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma, who was mentor of Sachin Waze, for questioning for the second consecutive day. Earlier, Sharma was questioned for 8 hours on Wednesday. In the case of Hiren’s murder, the NIA is investigating whether Pradeep Sharma was aware of his intentions?
The NIA has also received 1.5 crore rupees from a bank account. On this, Solicitor General Anil Singh told the NIA court on Wednesday that getting such a huge amount in an account of Sachin Vazh who has declared himself to be honest, creates suspicion. NIA wants to investigate how and where did so much money come from? Based on this, there was a demand to increase Vazha’s custody.
Mansukh Hiren was also involved in the Antilia case
The Solicitor General told the court that preliminary investigation has revealed that Mansukh Hiren was also involved in setting up an explosive-laden Scorpio outside Antilia, Mukesh Ambani’s house. According to the NIA, Mansukh became a partner in this case due to greed for money. At the same time, he has claimed that Mansukh gave him the key of Scorpio on his own free will.
Mansukh became the weakest link
According to NIA sources, Mansukh got upset due to constant questioning and he had become the weakest link in this case. After which, between 2 and 3 March, Sachin Vaze planned to remove him from his path and Mansukh was killed on the night of 4 March along with some others including Vinayak Shinde. The Solicitor General told the court that some more evidence had to be collected in this case too.
NIA wants 30-day custody in UAPA
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is currently investigating the Antilia explosive seizure case and the murder of Scorpio owner Mansukh Hiren. Earlier, Maharashtra ATS started investigating the murder of Hiren and arrested former constables Vinayak Shinde and cricket bookie Rajesh Gore. Sachin Vazh is in NIA custody till 9 April, while Shinde and Gore are sent to judicial custody for 14 days. During the court hearing, the Solicitor General demanded that he be kept in a 30-day custody under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), which the court currently rejected.
During the hearing, the court said that a detailed health report should be presented to Sachin Vaz during the next hearing. After which it is believed that the NIA can get her medical done today.
In the confession before the NIA, he named two ministers
During his appearance a day earlier, Sachin Waze presented a written statement in front of the court. He made this statement during the custody of the NIA. In this, along with former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, he also accused Transport Minister Anil Parab of making illegal recovery.
In the written statement, he has also said that the complete information about the recovery case was given to Anil Deshmukh’s PA. Sachin Vaze said in his statement that NCP Chief Sharad Pawar had opposed his reinstatement. They wanted the reinstatement canceled.
