On this day, exactly one year ago, the World Health Organization (WHO) admitted that ‘viral pneumonia’ is spreading in Wuhan, China. This pneumonia later became known as Kovid-19. Which engulfed the whole world within the next three months. On 30 January 2020, the first case of corona occurred in our country.

On 11 March the WHO declared Corona an epidemic. A total of 71 cases were reported in India by then. However, by that time more than 1 lakh 48 thousand cases had been reported worldwide. There were more than 80 thousand corona patients in China alone.

On March 25, the country witnessed a lockdown. By then 571 cases had occurred in India. The country remained under lockdown till 31 May. The process of unlocking started from June 1, there were more than 1 lakh 90 thousand cases of corona in the country. So far, more than 12 million cases have been reported in our country. Currently there are more than 2 lakh 60 thousand active cases.

If we talk about the world, more than 824 million cases have been reported. In the China from which Corona started, only 87 thousand cases have been reported so far. China has reached number 81 in the list of infected countries.

Terrorists had to leave for hijack plane

21 years ago today, on this day, India released three terrorists named Masood Azhar, Ahmed Zargar and Sheikh Ahmed Omar Saeed. This release had to be done eight days ago to get the Air India plane IC-814 hijacked. There were 178 passengers aboard the plane at the time of the hijack.

On the evening of 24 December 1999, the plane landed in Kathmandu, Nepal, hijacked at about five o’clock as it entered the Indian border. The plane landed in Kandahar, Afghanistan via Amritsar, Lahore and Dubai. After this, talks with the government of terrorists started.

Initially, the terrorists demanded that 35 terrorists who were imprisoned in Indian jails should be released and US $ 200 million in cash should be given. However, India managed to reduce their demand until the release of three prisoners.
