Arrested after a raid
Earlier on Monday, the CBI raided several places. After this, ministers in the Mamta government, Firhad, Subrata, MLA Madan Mitra and former Mayor Shovan were questioned. All were arrested after questioning. He was then produced in court. The CBI wanted the custody of these four leaders from the court, but in the evening, the special court of Anupam Mukherjee granted them bail on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 each.

High court rejects bail
After this, the CBI moved the High Court. The agency argued in the court that they are not able to function properly here and their investigation is being affected. After this, in five hours, the High Court rejected the bail order of the four leaders, staying the decision of the Special Court.

Mamta was present in CBI office for 6 hours
Here, after the morning action of CBI, once again there was tension between the central agency and the Bengal government. It was only during the interrogation of her ministers that Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached the CBI office. He told the CBI that you arrest me too. Why is TMC leaders being acted on only? Why no action is being taken against Mukul Roy and Shubhendu Adhikari in BJP? Mamta Banerjee was present in the CBI office for about 6 hours.

FIR against Mamta after attack on CRPF jawans
There have also been reports of attacks on CRPF personnel, CBI personnel and BJP workers in many places in Bengal. After this, Bengal BJP President Dilip Ghosh has lodged an FIR against Mamta Banerjee for the violence spreading in the state. A copy of this has also been sent to Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar.

CBI investigation started after Narada sting
The tapes were released by the Narada News Portal before the assembly election in Bengal in 2016. After this sting operation it was claimed that the tapes were recorded in 2014. The tape quoted Trinamool ministers, MPs and MLAs as accusing them of taking cash from dummy companies. This case was reached in the Calcutta High Court. The High Court had ordered a CBI inquiry in 2017.
